How it is used

The Mold is a construction machine and, therefore, should be used as such, following a sequence and employing it correctly to achieve better results.

The construction with the PUJOL-BARCONS System is similar to any industrialized production process. An orderly sequence of operations is followed at all times, developed by interconnecting phases, which achieve complete planning and control of the construction process, and result in an efficient assembly-line production of buildings.

  Phase 1   Phase 2   Phase 3   Phase 4   Phase 5   Phase 6   Phase 7   Phase 8

  Phases

The whole work is laid-out with a set of templates. These are the pattern of the construction to be carried out and indicate the positions and thicknesses of walls, partitions, windows, doors, installations, etc.

  Phases

It is over these templates that the REINFORCEMENT, INSULATION and INSTALLATIONS are placed, according to calculations and needs. These elements should be prepared in a workshop, due to their repetitive nature, making their subsequent on-site placement and fastening faster and easier.

  Phases

After removing the templates, all the elements are in place, facilitating the rapid assembly of the mold, by following the order indicated in the assembly plans.

  Phases

Next, the mold is single cast from the top, using a very fluid concrete.

  Phases

The following day the mold is dismantled, cleaned and greased so as to be re-assembled on the next unit.

  Phases

For the construction of multi-story buildings, the System makes provisions for safety scaffolding for the whole perimeter that is, specifically adapted to each project.

  Phases

The result of this sequence of operations is a complete concrete building with flawlessly integrated systems and absolute thermal and acoustic insulation. This is what we call "Shell and Core"

  Phases

This construction process is completely precise and repetitive in its measurements, which means extraordinary simplification and cost reduction of all the finishing work of the buildings.
